Looks like Japan has some new minis on the way too.

Looks like Nika, Zhed, and Shiro'ken.

I know Anet always says that different regions have different promos based on what they feel supports the game best in each territory. But I think I don't like how different regions get different stuff. I guess I can understand why they'd do it since they don't get Gray Giant/Asura and also get the birthday minis so late since the game was released there later.

Anyone else care to share their thoughts?

I want mini Zhed. Bad. Actually, I want a pack of Zheds. Or should that be a pride? Nika looks cute too, although the other one is ugly. Asura and Grey Giant are both fugly, so I would definitely say that the asians get the good deal on miniatures compared to everyone else.

Its a bit late so have got tired eyes but does Nika have weapons or not? Would be a bit silly to have a mini sin with no daggers!!

Surely they'll get leaked onto other districts anyway so even though its a little unfair having difference between regions we'll get them indirectly anyway.

IMO, it's not fair for there to be any region exclusive pets. Everyone should just get them all. I'd like a mini-Zhed, but I'm not going to pay the inevitable 100k + 5000 ecto to get it.

Hopefully someone with vastly better japanese will come along but....

It looks like this is some kind of netcafe promotion, with 100 winners or such of these minis. And that seems to actually be a full-blooded version of Vizu, who disabled Shiro and is only seen as a ghost in the game proper. Seeing as netcafes don't count for that much for this side of the world, it's not surprising we don't get similar promotions.

Yah, it says Miniature Vizu (or at least some form of it) and not Nika

EDIT: oh, and the Shiro'ken looks like it reads Shiro'ken Assassin. There is definitely nothing close to "Warrior" in the name, so it has to be Assassin.

well to be fair they need to get more players in japan playing, and to do that companies usually try and give them special offers for more incentive.

so i think its justified. and comon, japan almost never gets favor, they need soemthing nice at least.

This is absolutely ridiculous. Mini asura and grey giant were NOT for america only, they were distributed throughout asia and europe. Mini panda, kanaxai, naga, yeti, oni, the list goes on with minipets that were given to other players that America never had a chance to get. Not to mention they go for millions upon millions of gold because we were never able to achieve them.

This is just another stupid way to make japanese players ridiculous rich off of American pack rats that want everything they can't have.

and you wouldnt be saying that If they were US exclusive.

we are talking about a little video game creature that has no use whatso ever except to be looked at which is why they are a premium just like rare skins cost more money. you dont need them. if you want them save up for them or stop complaining.

if its worth having its worth spending you money on, if you dont want to spend that much, then you must not want it as much as you think.

I think it is unfair that certain minipets are available only to select countries, while other whole regions of the world are barred from obtaining them (asside from paying 100k +250 ecto).

While I do understand it from a business sense, I think that after a certain period of time from when the promo/event ends (6 months or a year for example) the pets should be made available to everyone in some way -- either free in some lottery fashion, such as adding them to possible birthday gifts, or letting us buy them.

In one of Gailes visits shorly before HM was released I remember her saying that they had some of the codes for the kanaxie, naga, oni, ect minis that they would possibly use for prizes. While thats nice to see that we will get a chance to get those, that still leaves out the exclusives other countries are getting.

Personal opinion but I happen to love my grey giant and asura, so let it be know that while many dont like them, just as many do like them.

If there's one miniature I'm annoyed that they only gave to one region, it's a Shiro'ken. Those guys are so badass.

I don't think there are any prizes that won't be available to North America and Europe, through some means.

We do have regional miniatures, but after a time, those minis become available to other regions.

We'll post our plans very soon.
